Your horse will drink from a stream and graze when standing still. They have unique conformation, colour, performance statistics and personality - and the personality actually shows in horse behaviour. ![]() And each and every horse is completely unique. You can have literally hundreds of horses for free. Besides buying a club, you can play for free. You can create your very own competition courses or buy a club and create a village (the aspect of game play that costs money). You can breed your horses and the genetics are very accurate. You can swim, you can dive, you can explore seas with a kayak or launch into flight with a hang glider and explore the world from above. There are 25 different biomes, which have sub biomes: from ice and snow to various deserts, fjords and alpines to jungles and literal wonderlands with candy mountains. The graphics seem crude at first glance, but you get used to them quickly. You are encouraged to explore and where ever you go, you will find treasures, riddle boxes, mini games, wild horses to catch and you can collect almost everything around for building your own, completely customizable ranch, crafting tack or various materials. All real game content comes from the players: game villages, stores, competitions and races and smaller quests are made by players. Horse Isle 3 has no actual quest or story to play, but a literally endless, absolutely massive open world for you to explore. The only thing you can find are the few plants for crafting. There is no real incentive to keep exploring. SSO also has no player economy and a cash cap, which prevents out of control inflation. Once you have done the quests and reputation and collections, there is literally nothing to do in the game beyond social activities, buying things and training horses, which takes 3 days or so. ![]() SSO has a story quest (that never really gets going or reaches closure) and at times very beautiful graphics and an excellent photo tool with filters.
